Post-Natural Regionalism is a blog created by and for the participants of English 6283, a graduate seminar at Arkansas Tech University, though we are extremely interested in the views of others who take these matters seriously.  We aim to investigate how literature and other forms of contemporary culture reflect newly emerging ideas of nature and place — especially the intersection between the two –  in light of very real changes in our definitions and concepts of the human and nonhuman world, but also changes to the fabric of the nonhuman world brought about through human influence.  What does “place” mean in this newly-configured arena?  We hope to explore the answers to this very complex and beguiling question.
